PARMI, a leader in advanced 3D inspection systems, has announced that its Xceed II has received a 2026 Mexico Technology Award in the Inspection – Laser-Guided AOI category. The award was presented during a ceremony held before SMTA Guadalajara 2026 on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
The Xceed II is PARMI’s next-generation 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system, engineered for advanced semiconductor packaging and high-density SMT manufacturing. Featuring the newly developed TRSC2 sensor, the system delivers scanning speeds 40-60 percent faster than the previous generation while improving both 2D and 3D image quality. Its shadow-free dual-laser optical triangulation technology simultaneously captures full-color 2D images and precise 3D height data in a single scan, enabling highly accurate inspection of SiP devices, bare die, solder paste, bumps, underfill, Cu clips, IGBTs, and components as small as 0201.
To further enhance productivity, the Xceed II integrates with PARMI’s optional AI System, which automates inspection model creation, OCR, and defect verification. AI Teaching reduces programming time by approximately 90 percent using only a PCB and BOM, while AI OCR decreases false calls by up to 99.73 percent (acceptance rate of 0.27 percent). AI Verification further improves inspection efficiency by automatically performing secondary defect review, allowing inspectors to significantly increase throughput while maintaining consistent quality. Together, these technologies reduce setup time, minimize rework, standardize inspection regardless of operator experience, and lower overall manufacturing costs.
