TAGARNO, a renowned Danish manufacturer of high-quality digital microscopes, has released firmware version 1.9 for the TAGARNO T50 digital microscope, adding new tools aimed at simplifying setup, improving repeatability and speeding up day-to-day inspection work.

A key focus of the update is presets, with new options to export, import and share microscope configurations across systems. A QR code feature has also been added, allowing preset transfer through a simple scan.

With firmware 1.9, presets can be saved, moved and deployed across multiple TAGARNO T50 systems using USB or file sharing. Each preset can also be turned into a QR code, which operators place in the camera view to load settings. A quick press on the controller applies the configuration. This makes it easier to keep setups aligned across operators and stations, without needing to manually rebuild settings on each system.

Another addition in the release is Spot Focus. The feature lets users switch the microscope into Spot Focus mode and select a specific area in the image to set focus. The system then uses that region to maintain focus, helping operators stay on key inspection points as they move through tasks.

Firmware 1.9 also increases preset capacity to 50 and adds the option to assign 0–9 shortcut keys to frequently used setups. Presets now also store and apply Z-axis height positions, helping maintain consistent working conditions between sessions.

Additional updates include image flip controls, glare removal when using a ring light, and new application support for DXF Overlay and PNG Reference tools, available through the TAGARNO Expert Room subscription packages.

The DXF Overlay application allows users to import DXF files directly into the T50 and display them over the live image for PCB inspection, component identification and navigation. The PNG Reference application enables operators to view reference images, work instructions and quality documentation alongside live inspection.

The TAGARNO T50 continues to deliver a live imaging experience with near zero latency at 4K/60 FPS, supported by a 370 mm working depth, vibration reduction features, and a magnetic lens system designed for production environments.

Firmware version 1.9 is now available for TAGARNO T50 users.
