TAGARNO, a renowned Danish manufacturer of high-quality digital microscopes, today announced the relaunch of its Full HD (FHD) microscope product line. The refreshed portfolio introduces enhanced imaging performance, updated model names, and a simplified product offering designed to make it easier for customers to select the right microscope for their inspection workflows.
Originally launched in 2016, TAGARNO’s FHD microscopes have become widely used across electronics manufacturing, quality inspection, and other precision industries. With the relaunch, TAGARNO is highlighting recent technology improvements while modernizing the product lineup to better meet current market needs.
As part of the relaunch, TAGARNO’s microscopes will receive updated names: ZIP becomes ZIP+, ZAP becomes ZAP+, and TREND becomes TREND+. The company is also streamlining its portfolio by discontinuing the PRESTIGE model. MOVE and FRONT, previously offered as separate solutions, will now be available as configurations of the ZAP+ universe.
The updated microscopes feature the new SONY FCB-EV9520L camera, which incorporates advanced imaging technology to deliver faster processing, improved image clarity, and smoother operation.
The new camera improves dynamic range, allowing users to see details clearly even on reflective surfaces such as solder joints or shiny metal components. Enhanced sensitivity produces brighter images with less noise, even at higher magnifications or when using lower illumination levels. At the same time, improved color reproduction ensures images appear more natural and consistent during inspection.
Additional capabilities make daily inspection work more efficient. Users can zoom and focus simultaneously when switching between overview and detailed inspection, reducing adjustment time and creating a smoother workflow. Faster image processing and navigation also make the system feel more responsive during operation.
The camera upgrade also introduces advanced image control features such as spot focus and spot exposure directly on the inspection target. Automatic flicker detection further stabilizes the image without manual adjustments, which is especially useful in production environments with variable lighting conditions.
“TAGARNO’s FHD microscopes have proven themselves over many years in demanding inspection environments,” said Anders Ravnskjær Pedersen. “With this relaunch, we’re highlighting the significant performance improvements introduced with the new camera technology while making the product lineup easier for customers to navigate. The result is clearer images, faster workflows, and a simpler way for customers to choose the microscope that fits their needs.”
The updated FHD microscope line continues TAGARNO’s focus on delivering high-performance digital inspection solutions that help manufacturers improve accuracy, efficiency, and usability in daily operations.
