WKK America will introduce Multiline Technology post-etch punch (PEP) systems to the North American PCB fabrication market at the 2026 APEX EXPO, taking place March 17–19 at the Anaheim Convention Center, Booth #4545. The company will showcase the ECP-8000 and ATP-7800 product lines, bringing field-proven registration accuracy to fabricators supporting advanced HDI and high-layer-count applications.

“North American PCB fabricators are investing heavily in advanced capabilities to support reshoring initiatives, and registration accuracy is critical to that success,” said Bruce Bacon, President of WKK America. “Multiline has delivered this level of precision to leading PCB manufacturers across Asia for more than 40 years. We’re now making that same proven technology available in North America—with local sales and service support.”

Product Highlights

ECP-8000 — Flagship Precision System (pictured above)
The ECP-8000 is an advanced 8-camera post-etch punch and in-line inspection system capable of punch repeatability as tight as ±0.00015” (±3.81 μm), with standard production specifications of ±0.0003” to ±0.0005” (±7.62–12.7 μm) tailored to application requirements.

In addition to precision punching, the ECP-8000 performs in-line inspection, verifying image squareness and coaxial alignment between the top and bottom panel sides. Customers report measurable improvements in overall yield following implementation. The system operates on Windows 11 and supports MES and SECS/GEM integration for Industry 4.0 manufacturing environments.

WKK-ATP_7800

ATP-7800 — High-Throughput Production System (pictured left)

The ATP-7800 is designed for high-volume production, delivering up to 9+ panels per minute with punch repeatability of ±0.0005” (±12.7 μm). The system is backward-compatible with legacy Optiline equipment, making it an ideal upgrade or replacement option for fabricators with existing Multiline installations.

Commitment to the North American Market

WKK is establishing dedicated North American sales and service infrastructure to support Multiline customers with local installation, training, and ongoing maintenance.

“North American fabricators need confidence in long-term local support when investing in capital equipment,” Bacon added. “We’re building that infrastructure while backing every system with the full manufacturing and engineering resources of our Dongguan facility.”

Multiline Heritage and Global Presence

The Multiline brand originated in New York as a pioneer in optical registration and post-etch punch technology for PCB fabrication. WKK represented and distributed Multiline equipment throughout Asia for more than three decades before acquiring the global manufacturing rights and intellectual property in December 2016.

Today, Multiline systems are manufactured at WKK Machinery’s facility in Dongguan, China, and are installed at leading PCB fabrication operations across Asia.
