From October 23 to 24, ASYS invites you to the Technology Days 2024 at its headquarters in Dornstadt. Under the motto ‘Ahead of the Curve’, the globally active company offers solutions for planning, monitoring and controlling the factory of tomorrow. In doing so, ASYS provides its customers in the electronics, life science and energy sectors with the analog equipment and digital tools to meet today’s challenges. Visitors will experience inspiring keynotes, presentations and innovative tech sessions on future-proof automation in the live exhibition.
Ahead of the curve – a sure instinct for tomorrow’s topics
Since its foundation in 1992, ASYS has been known for bold and technological innovations that have found their way into the standard portfolio of the electronics industry. At the Technology Days 2024, ASYS will address the current challenges in mechanical engineering and, in addition to new machines, will present a future-oriented software platform with which the company connects and changes the entire production in a unique way. “I am really looking forward to this event. These are challenging times for industry. This makes it all the more important that we bring a variety of new solutions to market to help our customers succeed in their businesses,” says Jürgen Ries, CEO of the ASYS Group.
Further development and generational change in the field of handling
ASYS grew up with the idea of standardizing handling systems for the electronics industry. Now the next logical step follows: handling is becoming smart.
ASYS is setting new standards with the VEGO GEN S Line, which will be presented for the first time at the Technology Days 2024. Equipped with new software, the operating data of the individual machine components are continuously evaluated and immediately available in all software modules. This eliminates the need for duplicate data maintenance. Likewise, higher axis and transport speeds can be achieved, which shortens cycle times. At the same time, maintenance intervals can be better predicted based on machine utilization: They can be optimally scheduled into the production process, thereby extending the service life of the systems.
The VEGO GEN S also impresses in terms of sustainability: Thanks to the built-in sleep mode, displays and motors are automatically switched off when the machine is inactive, which significantly reduces power consumption. In addition, the new machine generation uses low-wear and low-maintenance belt drives, which significantly reduces the need for spare parts. And the new handling line also scores points in terms of user-friendliness: with a newly designed user interface and multi-touch panels, ASYS has improved the operability of VEGO GEN S – making it simple and intuitive.
INVENTUS – special machine construction re-imagined
Another highlight of the live exhibition is the scalable automation line of the INVENTUS series. ASYS combines standard systems with machines from the special machine construction individually according to customer requirements.
The systems are highly expandable – in every direction. Individual modules can be multiplied almost indefinitely, which significantly reduces cycle times. In addition, ASYS experts use their in-depth process know-how to accommodate numerous manufacturing processes in a small space, which significantly improves space utilization. Over 2,000 different processes can be integrated into the automation lines: This means full flexibility for the customer.
Depending on customer requirements, loading and unloading is also an integral part of the INVENTUS line. ASYS has decades of knowledge in the field of component and part feeding as well as in the handling of manufactured products.
If a fully autonomous solution is required, the material supply can be carried out by autonomous transport systems such as AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots). The materials are transported directly from the material warehouse to the corresponding production lines. This leads to an even more efficient use of resources and in turn to a reduction in production and downtime.
The heart of the Smart Factory: the re-invention of industrial software
With their newly designed software platform, the ASYS experts are making a striking statement in terms of user-friendliness and efficiency. Developed to simplify the user’s daily work, the software offers intuitive operation and thus maximizes customer benefit: production can be planned and designed according to the modular principle – with apps as easy to use as on a smartphone. A key feature is the revolutionary orchestration of machines, parameters, conditions and personnel.
Inspired by the consumer sector, shop floor management with an intuitive user interface sets new standards far beyond the industry norm. The connectivity of all machines is fully guaranteed, regardless of the manufacturer. Advanced data analysis enables predictive manufacturing, while resources are efficiently planned in real time.
The aim of the platform is to increase the performance of processes and to revolutionize efficiency in the long term. The innovative software generation from ASYS offers easy operation and maximum benefit. All entered, calculated or recorded data is immediately available in all software modules, eliminating the need for duplicate data maintenance. The goal is to make everyday work easier for users, optimize workflows and sustainably increase performance. This innovation revolutionizes efficiency at all levels.
LIFE SCIENCE meets automation
In addition to a tech session that specifically highlights automation in medical technology, visitors can expect an extra exhibition area for the life science industry. Here we will be presenting the PARIO 5000 tray stacking system for fully automatic parenteral handling and the VERDICO cleanroom module, which enables assembly processes under precisely measurable and controllable environmental conditions.
Ready for the future and the digital transformation, a wavelength ahead
In an exhibition area of more than 1,000 m2, visitors to this year’s ASYS Group Technology Days can take a look at the factory of the future and experience over 80 exhibits and innovations live: Intelligent solutions that not only increase productivity but also reduce energy consumption. Modern, intuitive operating concepts and efficient data provision that optimize work processes. Advanced technologies – including for fuel cell production and life science projects – that enable a noticeable improvement in processes. Highlights from the cleanroom sector will also be presented.
