Robotas Technologies Ltd., pioneers and specialists in the world of THT component placement and clinching systems, today announced plans to exhibit at the 2024 IPC APEX EXPO, scheduled to take place April 9-11, 2024 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA. Robotas will be demonstrating its full line up of smart THT production technology in Booth #730, including the Mascot Clinch SMEMA Conveyor system, Board Handling, Intelligent Carousels and Dynamic Pick to Light (DPL) Picking Indication for Component Storage.

Robotas will be using the 2024 IPC APEX EXPO as a platform to launch their brand new ‘Mascot Verify’ Through-Hole Technology (THT) Inspection product, marking its debut in the North American market. Mascot Verify is designed to uphold the standard of error-free PCB assembly pre-soldering, ensuring a seamless No-Fault-Forward process. The Verify camera system embedded in Mascot Verify plays a pivotal role in the quality assurance process. It guarantees, at the point of part placement by the operator, that each component is accurately positioned. Furthermore, the system ensures that components with polarity are correctly oriented during placement, thereby enhancing the overall precision and reliability of the assembly process.

Be sure to visit Robotas’ Booth #730 to see all of this THT optimization technology in action!

Robotas’ Mascot systems automate and streamline PCB assembly via their laser guided component placement and visual work instructions. Mascot guides the operator through the complete build process, improving product quality, increasing throughput and virtually eliminating setup time and rework. Mascot systems are ESD safe, electronically height adjustable, and provide component storage and delivery via carousel and DPL arrays. Component storage is mounted on articulated arms for enhanced ergonomics.

If you are familiar with the aging Contact Systems Clinch Technology, then a show highlight will be the Mascot Flowline Clinch system with IPC CFX compliance. It offers a much-enhanced replacement for the CS400, CS600, CS900 family of products.

Robotas’ Mascot Software allows users to easily create, edit and sequence assembly programs from existing Contacts Systems Data, PCB CAD or Gerber data, which can all be produced offline without needing to access the hardware.

Partnering with Robotas at the IPC APEX EXPO, Swiss manufacturer Polyver will also be presenting their high-precision lead-forming and cutting systems. They deliver a 0.1mm accuracy in the forming and cutting of axial and radial components for THT Assembly.

The ultimate goal for Robotas Technologies is to deliver smart technology into the hands of production staff. The Robotas team work with their customers to organize and optimize factory-wide manual assembly processes. Robotas delivers a total end-to-end solution for hand assembly.
