PDR, founded in 1985, and today a leading manufacturer of BGA rework systems and X-ray systems, was a proud sponsor and participant in the SMTA Ambassador program during the recent SMTA International Expo. PDR Sales Manager Jack Harris met with young professionals during the event.

The Passport to Networking Program helps to bridge the generational gap by informally networking with students, young professionals and those new to the industry. The students/employees were given a passport that PDR stamped at the booth as having spent time with the company to learn about PDR Focused Infrared and X-ray Technologies.

Dave White, President of PDR, stated, “The SMTA Ambassador program is a winner in the sense that our industry could withstand an infusion of young talent interested in becoming a part of this industry. To this end, the SMTA provided an opportunity for machine technology providers such as PDR to enjoin young talent by discussing product offerings and technology with truly bright eyed and eager young professionals, thus benefiting the industry as a whole. These are bright and upcoming young professionals participating in this program, and a truly refreshing and rewarding experience for PDR to have met so many rising stars. The heart of a teacher comes to mind for principals participating in this amazing program. I would encourage all principals to consider participating in this program.”
