Robotas Technologies Ltd., a pioneer of THT component placement and clinching systems, and a leader in the field of optimizing hand assembly processes have announced an exclusive representative agreement with PIT Equipment Services, LLC on the east coast. Don Dennison of PIT will represent Robotas’ total end solution for hand assembly throughout the eastern seaboard, from Maine to Georgia.

PIT started in 1988 with a mission to assist electronic assembly companies in the New York / New Jersey / Eastern Pennsylvania metropolitan area. Their extensive product knowledge and strategic customer relationships have made them a key supplier and long-term partner to companies down the east coast. The key to their long-term success is their service and support of each product sold.

I’m very excited to be working with the Robotas Team as they offer innovative and creative solutions for hand assembly production,” stated Dennison. “Our clients have been crying out for a simple, reliable and scalable solution to their THT assembly requirements for some time, and now we can finally deliver this to them. Robotas equipment will certainly improve their quality and production time”.

For the foreseeable future, manual production bridges the gap between automation and final product assembly. Many manufacturers are looking to optimize this element of their production, especially with the increase in re-shoring of products and the uncertainty of material delivery.

People are hugely flexible in their capabilities and can handle a huge variation of tasks, however, consistency can be difficult to manage and variations in quality occur. Robotas’ product range provide leading-edge solutions to age-old problems by eliminating quality and performance issues by upskilling the workforce. They semi-automate the human build process which significantly speeds up production, drastically reduces error rates and provides vital data capture capabilities.

Robotas are always innovating and will be exhibiting their New Clinch assembly system at the IPC APEX EXPO in Jan 2023.

Dennison’s team will offer the full range of Robotas Technologies assembly solutions, which includes the tried and trusted Mascot THT laser guided, paperless PCBA assembly system with intelligent component storage in both cellular and SMEMA controlled flowline platforms.

PIT also will offer the Mascot Clinch system, designed by Robotas Technologies as a direct replacement for ageing, non-serviceable Contact Systems CS400 machines, providing a versatile, capable, up-to-date and fully supported THT placement and Clinching solution.

Additionally, PIT will offer the Robotas Technologies’ Sigma System for Box Build assembly, a versatile system that provides one single platform for paperless operator build guidance, tool control, parts delivery and operator ergonomics.

All Robotas Technologies systems employ serial number, material and build traceability for integration into smart factory environments, and they will be exhibiting their IPC CPX roadmap at the IPC APEX EXPO. All systems can also be complimented with their dedicated pre-kitting stations.

The ultimate goal for Robotas Technologies is to deliver smart production technology into the hands of production staff. The team works with its customers to organize and optimize factory-wide manual assembly processes. Robotas delivers a total end-to-end solution for hand assembly.
