Magnalytix, providing real-time reliability solutions for electronics manufacturing, is excited to introduce its revolutionary advancement in electronics reliability testing via Surface Insulation Resistance (SIR) testing, the MGX Mixed Technology SIR Test Board.

The MGX Mixed Technology SIR Test Board is double-sided with four channels on each side and combines fine-pitch, bottom-terminated, through-hole, and passive components on a single standardized board to provide comprehensive cleanliness and reliability characterization aligned with the requirements of J-STD-001 Section 8.

Mike Bixenman, Magnalytix president, explains, “The MGX Mixed Technology SIR Test Board is an exciting and versitile addition to our lineup of test boards. Our team is proud to offer a test board with the capabilities to help us provide our customers with everything from the results of our industry-leading SIR testing, to flux and process cleaning characterization, to use in comparitive reliabilty studies.”

The MGX Mixed Technology SIR Test Board is populated with a diverse suite of components designed to expose an array of contamination entrapments, standoff heights, and electrochemical risk factors. It is designed specifically by the Magnalytix team of reliability experts to meet the demands of SIR testing in a range of component geometries by evaluating flux behavior, assessing cleaning effectiveness, and measuring process robustness.
