IBL Löttechnik GmbH will be presenting its new Advanced Process Control (APC) software package with integrated Advanced Process Monitoring (APM) for the first time at productronica 2025 in Munich. With this new development, IBL is responding to the increasing demands for process reliability, traceability and automation in vapour phase soldering processes during electronics manufacturing.

“The heart of the new software is the Automatic Gradient Control (AGC) function. It allows temperature gradients and hold times to be entered directly without complex programming,” explains Olaf Cieply, Global Sales Manager at IBL Löttechnik GmbH. This allows soldering profiles to be created intuitively and reproducible results to be achieved, regardless of the complexity of the assembly or the experience of the operating personnel. This simplifies process setup for users and reduces the possibility of operating errors.”

The control system is supplemented by Advanced Process Monitoring (APM), which continuously monitors all relevant process parameters. The system records, analyses and documents data in real time, enabling immediate detection of deviations in preheating time, soldering time or vacuum pressure. This allows corrective measures to be taken at an early stage and contributes to consistently high soldering quality,” Cieply continues. The combination of APC and APM particularly supports industries with high quality requirements, such as the automotive, aerospace and medical technology sectors. The complete documentation fulfils the requirements for certification according to common standards, such as IPC or ISO. In addition, the traceability of each production run is ensured.

With its new generation of software, IBL Löttechnik is laying the foundation for even more efficient and reliable process control in vapour phase soldering technology. Users benefit from precise control, greater transparency and significantly improved process stability. The new software will be presented from 12 to 15 November 2025 at productronica in Munich at the IBL booth 218, hall A4.

About IBL Löttechnik
IBL was founded in 1987 and has been working in the soldering sector of electronics since then. IBL recognised the potential of vapour phase technology for assembly and soldering technology at an early stage. They began to develop their own new systems technology for vapour phase soldering during the introduction of SMD- techniques in the manufacture of assemblies. This early entry enabled IBL to develop an enormous amount of know-how and convincing innovative strengths.
That has been documented by more than 30 national and international patents and recognised by a special award from the Bavarian State Government. IBL has pioneered vapour phase systems technology and is the world leader in Vapour Phase Soldering Machine Technology, as a consequence of which, users have a competent partner at their side for future new developments.
