Seika Machinery, Inc., a leading provider of advanced machinery, materials and engineering services, has announced the launch of its new Nippon Nozzle division, dedicated to supplying high-precision spinnerets, spunlace jetstrips, film dies, and related equipment to manufacturers across North America. The products support a wide range of applications, from nonwoven fabrics and textiles to films, composite materials, and battery separators.

Nippon Nozzle, established in 1928, was the first company in Japan to produce spinnerets domestically. With decades of experience in fluid extrusion technology, the company is known for manufacturing nozzles with hole tolerances as tight as ±0.001 mm. This level of accuracy ensures consistent flow properties for fibers and films used in demanding applications.

The new division will provide:

  • Spinnerets: Wet, dry, air-gap, and melt types for fibers and textiles.
  • Spunlace Jetstrips: Precision jetstrips for hydroentanglement in nonwoven production.
  • Film Dies and Extrusion Nozzles: Tailored solutions for film and composite applications.
  • Inspection and Cleaning Systems: Automated nozzle measurement systems and ultrasonic cleaning equipment designed to extend tool life and maintain product quality.

Manufacturing processes include in-house alloy melting, precision machining, polishing, and detailed inspection to maintain reliability and performance.

“Bringing Nippon Nozzle technologies into Seika’s portfolio gives manufacturers in the region direct access to extrusion tools and systems that are already proven in global markets,” said Michelle Ogihara, Executive VP at Seika Machinery. “We’re making it easier for companies here to evaluate, source, and maintain the exact tools they need for specialized production.”
