Heraeus Electronics is pleased to announce that effective November 1, 2026, William Ong has been appointed Global Head of Business Line Semiconductor Materials. With a background in R&D, sales and general management, William Ong brings 30 years of experience in the electronics industry. His career spans research and development, sales, business development and global business leadership at SCHOTT AG.
Prior to joining Heraeus Electronics, William Ong served as General Manager at SCHOTT’s Opto-Electronics Strategic Business Field, overseeing strategy, innovation and financial performance. He built product management, sales and research teams and lead M&A due diligence and integration. Earlier roles included expanding sales networks and strategic customer partnerships across Asia-Pacific and establishing an application engineering function in Greater China.
