ViTrox, which aims to be the World’s Most Trusted Technology Company in providing innovative, advanced, and cost-effective automated Machine Vision Inspection Solutions for the semiconductor and electronics packaging industries, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rafael Matute as Service Manager for Mexico, effective 15 September 2026.
In his new role, Rafael will lead ViTrox’s Service team in Mexico, drawing on his extensive background in Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) technologies to strengthen regional customer support and drive services excellence.
About Rafael Matute
Rafael brings extensive hands-on experience and leadership in the electronics manufacturing and inspection technology sectors. His career began in manufacturing, while pursuing his degree in Electronic Engineering, advancing from a Maintenance Technician to a Test Engineer responsible for AOI equipment — an early plant-floor grounding that gave him a firsthand understanding of production pressures, equipment availability, and quality requirements from the user’s perspective.
In 2007, Rafael transitioned to the supplier side as a Service Engineer, where he specialized in AOI and SPI technologies. Over the years, his responsibilities expanded into application support, equipment evaluations, and technical demonstrations across Mexico and South America. Prior to joining ViTrox, he led the Service team for Mexico and South America at a global inspection technology manufacturer, where he led service operations, mentored technical teams, and drove complex escalation management while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and trust.
