Titled “Hands-On ESD: The Working Pro’s Guide to TR53® Compliance,” the program will focus on the methods, equipment and measurement practices used to verify ESD control equipment and materials.
The live online training will be held October 13 and 14, 2026, from 1-2:30 p.m. EDT each day. Participants will be registered for both sessions.
The course is designed around the requirements of an effective compliance verification program, including identifying the technical requirements and ESD control items to be verified, establishing measurement limits and verification frequencies, documenting test methods and equipment, and maintaining records that provide evidence of conformity. These elements are identified as key components of a Compliance Verification Plan under ESD TR20.20-2016.
The training will provide practical instruction in electrical theory, test instrumentation, compliance measurement methods and troubleshooting corrective actions. By combining technical concepts with hands-on application, the program is intended to give attendees the working knowledge necessary to conduct periodic verification of ESD protective equipment and materials and support ongoing factory compliance.
The course will address a broad range of ESD control and measurement standards and test methods, including ANSI/ESD S20.20, Protection of Electrical and Electronic Parts, Assemblies and Equipment; ANSI/ESD S1.1, Wrist Straps; ANSI/ESD S541, Packaging Materials; ANSI/ESD S6.1, Grounding; ANSI/ESD STM 15.1, Gloves and Finger Cots; ANSI/ESD SP15.1, In-Use Resistance Testing of Finger Cots and Gloves; and ANSI/ESD STM2.1, Garments.

A well-defined compliance verification program is critical to maintaining an effective ESD control system. The course will help participants understand how verification requirements, measurement limits, frequency, test methods and equipment work together to provide documented evidence that ESD control measures continue to meet established requirements.
