Visitors to Booth 1635 will see two new systems designed to address practical challenges in electronics manufacturing: the Summit LT150 rework system and the XQuik V component counter.
The Summit LT150 expands VJ Electronix’s Summit rework platform to support reliable rework of large, next-generation components up to 150 mm. Developed to meet the needs of high-power, high-density assemblies, the LT150 combines a large alignment field of view with scaled heating capability and precise thermal control. A 150 × 150 mm vision area allows operators to view the entire component while still zooming into corners for accurate alignment and placement.
The LT150 is designed to accommodate large and complex assemblies, supporting standard board sizes up to 24 × 36 inches, with an optional upgrade for even larger formats. Increased top- and bottom-side clearance—up to 100 mm—allows safe access around tall connectors, heat sinks, and power modules. A proprietary 4.4 kW top heater, paired with up to 11.2 kW of bottom heating power, delivers uniform thermal performance across large component footprints, helping maintain consistent solder reflow from center to edge while minimizing thermal stress.
Balanced top and bottom heating, dual PID control, and programmable flow settings allow profiles to be tuned for different materials and package types. A more powerful 1.5 kW spot heater improves thermal balance and shortens cycle times, helping increase throughput without compromising rework quality. Together, these features enable manufacturers to rework large, high-value components in-house, reducing scrap, avoiding unnecessary board replacement, and improving overall rework success rates.
Also on display at APEX EXPO will be the XQuik V, a new high-performance X-ray component counter designed to deliver accurate inventory control at a more accessible price point. XQuik V uses the same image resolution found in higher-end systems, combined with a more powerful X-ray source to improve image contrast and counting reliability. An ergonomic automatic load drawer simplifies operation, while a built-in barcode camera automatically reads reel IDs and links them to updated component counts, reducing the risk of manual entry errors.
Designed for fast return on investment, the XQuik V helps manufacturers maintain accurate inventory records, streamline material handling, and reduce production delays caused by component shortages or miscounts.
