IPTE expands the Multi-Functional Test Handler (MFT) family with the introduction of the new MFT 900, developed to meet the increasing market demand for testing larger PCB formats in automated production environments.

As PCB dimensions continue to increase, manufacturers require flexible test handling solutions that combine extended board formats with high throughput and reliable contacting. The MFT 900 is specifically designed to support larger PCB sizes of up to 760 mm in length, while maintaining an optimized footprint.

Like all systems within the MFT family, the 900 version supports In-Circuit Testing (ICT), Functional Testing (FCT) and Flash applications within a single handler. Multiple test processes can be integrated into one machine, eliminating the need for additional handlers and simplifying production layouts.

The modular design allows various configurations like single or dual lane, single or dual well, and single or dual segment configurations, enabling parallel test concepts. The system ensures consistent contacting force at every test point, configurable depending on the selected motor ranging from 5 to 20 kN.

The MFT 900 integrates seamlessly with leading third-party test systems, including Keysight, Teradyne, Digitaltest, Elowerk, SPEA and CheckSum, offering customers maximum flexibility and long-term investment security.

“With the MFT 900, we respond directly to the market trend toward larger PCB designs,” said Vincent Munier, Test Engineering Manager at IPTE Belgium. “Customers can now test extended board formats without compromising on throughput, flexibility or tester integration.”
