AdvancedPCB, a leading U.S. printed circuit board manufacturer, has expanded its technology base with the installation of new high-precision X-ray drilling equipment, part of a broader investment initiative focused on improving accuracy, throughput, and regional capacity across its facilities.
“As part of our long-term strategy, we continue to invest in advanced equipment and technology resources,” said Greg Halvorson, Chief Executive Officer at AdvancedPCB. “These upgrades not only improve overall manufacturing health and efficiency across our sites, but also ensure we’re delivering higher accuracy and throughput to our customers. It’s yet another step in our continued investment in U.S.-based technology and capability.”
At the center of this latest expansion is the ANTARES 700X X-ray Reference Drilling Machine, newly installed at AdvancedPCB’s Midwest facility. Engineered for multilayer panels and inner layers, the ANTARES 700X provides exceptional precision and repeatability in drilling optimized reference holes and mechanical targets—critical for high-layer-count, advanced technology PCBs.
Each installation is part of a coordinated effort to strengthen process control, shorten lead times, and enhance yield across AdvancedPCB’s regional manufacturing network. These updates support customers in industries where precision and reliability are non-negotiable, including aerospace, defense, and medical technology.
“At AdvancedPCB, every equipment investment starts with our customers,” added Halvorson. “Enhancing precision and consistency across our facilities allows us to deliver faster turnarounds, higher yields, and the assurance that every board meets the most demanding quality standards.”
As AdvancedPCB continues to expand its technology base, the company plans to share further updates on how these advancements are helping customers bring complex designs to market faster—backed by cutting-edge tools and decades of engineering experience.
