BTU International, Inc., a leading supplier of advanced thermal processing equipment for the electronics manufacturing market, has been recognized with a 2025 Step-by-Step Excellence Award (SbSEA) for its Aqua Scrub™ Flux Management Technology, featured on the company’s Pyramax™ and Aurora™ reflow ovens. The award was presented on October 28th during NEPCON Asia 2025 in Shenzhen, China.
Celebrating its 19th year, the Step-by-Step Excellence Awards honor companies that push manufacturing performance forward through practical engineering and innovation. BTU’s Aqua Scrub™ system stood out for its ability to cut operating costs, improve efficiency, and simplify maintenance in high-volume solder reflow operations.
Designed to integrate with both new and existing BTU ovens, Aqua Scrub uses an aqueous-based scrubber system to remove flux residues efficiently across a range of solder pastes and flux chemistries. The technology reduces operating costs by up to four times compared to traditional condensation systems, helping manufacturers save time, reduce waste, and operate more sustainably—all without sacrificing oven performance or production flow.
“This award is a reflection of the creativity and dedication of our engineering team,” said Bob Bouchard, Director of Sales & Marketing at BTU International. “Aqua Scrub was developed with a clear goal—to help manufacturers run cleaner, leaner, and smarter. Seeing it recognized at NEPCON Asia reinforces the real-world results our customers are experiencing every day.”
By combining practical design with measurable results, BTU continues to help electronics manufacturers streamline production and reduce total cost of ownership.
