Semi-Kinetics, a leading provider of electronic manufacturing services, is proud to announce the acquisition of a TM Soldering Solutions Phoenix IL selective soldering system. This new capability expands the company’s proficiency in selective solder applications, rework, and solder repair processes.
The Phoenix IL selective soldering machine features high-precision XYZ axis control, optimized fluxing and solder wave mechanics, and repeatable process stability. Its capabilities are ideal for assemblies requiring localized soldering or rework on complex boards, mixed-technology PCBs, or difficult-to-reach joints.
“Our goal has always been to meet the full spectrum of customer demands in-house,” said Michael Leedom, CEO of Semi Kinetics. “Adding the TM Phoenix IL system provides us greater flexibility and turnaround control on critical boards. As part of our larger facility investment, this tool enables us to reduce outsourcing risk, bring more steps under our roof, and maintain the responsiveness that our markets expect.”
The new selective solder system is in the final stages of installation, with qualification and process development scheduled over the next quarter. Semi Kinetics anticipates integrating it into production flows to address rework, prototypes, and niche assemblies requiring selective soldering finesse.
Combined with recent investments in thermal, inspection, automation, and test, this selective solder capability strengthens Semi Kinetics’ end-to-end value proposition for demanding, high-reliability programs.
