The Printed Circuit Engineering Association (PCEA) today announced Anaya Vardya and Doug Dixon have joined its board of directors.
Anaya Vardya is chief executive of American Standard Circuits, a Chicago-based printed circuit board fabricator. Prior to that, he held top operations positions at Coretec and Merix, and was also engineering manager at IBM for nearly a decade. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering.
Dixon is chief marketing officer at 360 BC Group, Inc., a full-service B2B marketing firm focused on technology clients. He has more than 30 years in product and marketing management with leading SMT assembly companies such as Speedline, Universal Instruments, and most recently, Henkel, where he was global marketing director. He has a bachelor’s in engineering and started his career in manufacturing at Raytheon.
“I am very excited to join the board of PCEA and look forward to working with the rest of the board to guide the organization to meet its mission of promoting printed circuit engineering, which is the backbone of all electronics,” Vardya said.
“I am honored to be appointed to the board of directors of the Printed Circuit Engineering Association (PCEA),” Dixon said. “I have always been an advocate for education and technology, which is one of the key charters of the PCEA. The PCEA network of engineers and designers is a professional association encouraging and promoting the exchange of information within the electronics industry.
“The electronics industry is at a precipice of many dynamic changes, from supply chain shortages to a shortage of professional engineers in the west, making it even more important to train new engineers, and technical associates in the art of electronics. With electronics getting smaller, faster, more functional, and hotter, there are many new challenges to overcome. Working with the PCEA team, I hope to play a role in enabling positive change.”
Vardya and Dixon join the PCEA board of directors, which is made up of 13 industry professionals led by chairman Stephen Chavez.
“Doug and Anaya add tremendous industry engineering, business and marketing experience to our board,” said Stephen Chavez, chairman, PCEA. “Their acumen and insights are highly valued, and we are lucky to have their help as we focus on our strategic vision.”
