Essemtec, a global leader in adaptive, highly flexible surface mount technology (SMT) solutions, is proud to announce that its Tarantula Dual Lane with 2K Precision Dispensing System received a 2026 Mexico Technology Award in the Dispensing category. The award was presented during a ceremony held before SMTA Guadalajara 2026 on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
The Tarantula Dual Lane with 2K Precision Dispensing technology represents Essemtec’s continued commitment to advancing flexible, high-performance automation for modern electronics manufacturing. Designed to address the growing complexity of electronic assemblies, the system combines precision dispensing capabilities with a flexible dual-lane production concept to help manufacturers improve efficiency, optimize floor space, and adapt quickly to changing production requirements.
Built for demanding applications, the Tarantula platform enables accurate and repeatable dispensing processes for materials used in today’s advanced electronic assemblies. The integration of 2K precision dispensing expands manufacturing capabilities by supporting applications that require controlled material deposition, process consistency, and reliable results across a wide range of products.
The dual-lane architecture provides manufacturers with increased flexibility in production planning, allowing different products or processes to be managed efficiently within a single platform. This capability supports high-mix but also high speed manufacturing environments where rapid changeovers, process adaptability, and dependable performance are critical.
With its combination of precision dispensing technology, flexible automation, and production-focused design, the Tarantula Dual Lane helps electronics manufacturers improve process control, enhance productivity, and meet the evolving demands of advanced assembly applications.
At the heart of the 2K Precision Dispensing is Essemtec’s new DVVD (Dual Volume Valve) technology, designed to deliver precise metering of both components while maintaining stable mix ratios from 1:1 up to 10:1. The valve supports a maximum flow rate of 6.6 ml/min at a 1:1 ratio or 12ml/min at 1:1 ratio as option and is fully compatible with industry-standard static mixer needles, making integration simple and efficient.
The 2K Precision Dispensing solution is supported by a compact dispensing station designed for ease of use and process monitoring. Compatible with SEMCO cartridges, 6oz/180cc or 12oz/360cc, the station includes individual pressure control, manual pressurization and depressurization functions, cartridge refill capability, and integrated sensors for monitoring cartridge pressure and empty status.
“Modern electronics manufacturing requires solutions that deliver both precision and flexibility,” said Frank Hart, Director, Essemtec USA. “The Tarantula Dual Lane with 2K Precision Dispensing was developed to help manufacturers manage increasingly complex production requirements while maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency. We are honored that the Mexico Technology Awards recognized this innovation and its contribution to the future of electronics manufacturing.”
Through continued innovation in automation and dispensing technology, Essemtec remains focused on helping manufacturers improve production agility, optimize processes, and successfully navigate the challenges of next-generation electronics assembly.
