KONIG, a leader in electronic packaging protection solutions, will exhibit at productronica China 2026, held March 25–27, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). At the show, KONIG will highlight its KP400 Digital Packaging Protection System, a mask-free solution designed to improve precision, efficiency, and reliability in electronic packaging processes.
A New Standard in Electronic Packaging
The KP400 represents a significant shift in how electronic packaging protection is applied. Designed for mask-free precision coating, the system replaces traditional coating, dispensing, and potting methods with a fully digital approach. By combining key elements of planar inkjet and 3D printing technologies, the KP400 moves packaging protection beyond flat surfaces to a three-dimensional digital process.
Equipped with more than 1,000 independently controlled nozzles operating at up to 20,000 drops per second, the KP400 delivers picoliter-level material control for selective, gapless, and bubble-free coverage. Advanced image processing and precision jetting enable a 0.2 mm safety distance without masking and allow the system to build 3D protective structures for PCBA, FPC, and Mini-LED applications.
Designed to Solve Real Manufacturing Challenges
“We are committed to electronic product packaging protection and focused on solving real manufacturing challenges,” said Jason Zhu (Jianxiao Zhu), CEO of KONIG. “Our goal is to use innovative technology to create practical value and better serve the entire electronics manufacturing industry.”
The KP400 reduces the coating process to four simple steps—load, coat, cure, and unload—eliminating complex preparation and post-processing. Thin-layer coating can be completed in as little as two seconds per board, helping manufacturers shorten cycle times and improve throughput.
Smarter, Faster, More Reliable
- Lower Operating Costs: By removing the need for masking materials and fixtures, manufacturers can significantly reduce labor and consumable expenses. One customer reported annual cost savings exceeding 50% after adopting the KP400.
- Improved Yields: Precise jetting combined with instant UV LED curing prevents glue flow and uneven coverage, resulting in cleaner edges and more consistent results.
- Proven Reliability: KONIG’s 3D protective structures have passed rigorous testing, including temperature shock, humidity, salt spray, and water immersion, demonstrating long-term durability.
- Safer and More Sustainable Production: Eliminating manual masking and demasking reduces operator exposure to chemicals, while precise material control minimizes waste, energy consumption, and emissions.
Supporting the Next Stage of Manufacturing
More than 50 applications across industrial, consumer, and automotive electronics are already using the KP400 to upgrade their packaging processes. Customers report increased capacity, improved yields, and the ability to replace imported equipment with reliable domestic solutions.
The KP400 reflects KONIG’s continued focus on practical innovation—developing tools that help manufacturers build more reliable electronic products while simplifying production.
