2026 marks a milestone year for Poly Electronics as the company celebrates 10 years of continuous growth and transformation from a regional electronics supplier to a globally recognized designer and manufacturer of high-quality, custom electronics made in the USA.
“Over the last decade, Poly Electronics has fundamentally changed who we are and how we serve our customers,” said Matt Kain, President of Poly Electronics. “We’ve honored the foundation built since 1973 while investing aggressively in our people, and our technology. Our goal is not only to build high-quality electronics, but to help build a strong future for our teammates, customers, community, region, state and stakeholders.”
Originally founded in 1973 as Polytron Corporation in downtown Elkhart, the company was re-envisioned as Poly Electronics in January 2016 when acquired by its current ownership group. Since then, the organization has undergone constant and significant evolution by adding new capabilities, exponentially increasing capacity, increasing quality assurance and gaining certifications such as ISO 9001:2015.
“Poly Electronics is poised for continued growth as we make strategic investments to support increasingly complex electronic assemblies,” added Kain. “Today, we support more than 100 active global customers across a wide range of industries. We are expanding our physical footprint here in Northern Indiana and, in 2025, added a second State-of-the-art SMT production line to further enhance our capacity, precision, and ability to serve new and emerging markets.”
Locally, Poly Electronics remains deeply involved in the Northern Indiana community, actively supporting Hoosier organizations and initiatives important to its employees and future innovators. The company is a proud participant in Manufacturing Day programs supported by the Horizon Education Alliance (HEA), working with local school systems to introduce students to careers in electronics, engineering, and advanced manufacturing—and to inspire the next generation of technology professionals.
As Poly Electronics marks this occasion, the company remains focused on the future— adding new customers every month, continuing to invest in advanced manufacturing technologies, robust quality systems, and continuing meaningful community partnerships and long-term customer relationships as Northern Indiana continues to evolve into a hub of global technology.
