With U.S. pricing starting at $24,999, Neoden USA is positioning the ND450 as an opportunity for manufacturers to introduce fully automated solder printing at a lower entry point. According to Neoden USA, nothing else currently available at this price point offers in-line production capability.
The ND450 features a floating intelligent print head with two independent direct-drive motors and closed-loop pressure control. Printing pressure is adjustable from 0.5 to 10 kg. The system provides printing speeds from 1 to 100 mm/s and printing repeat accuracy of ±0.025 mm.
For alignment, the ND450 incorporates a large field-of-view dual-camera vision system with upward and downward cameras. The 10 × 10 mm field of view supports standard fiducials, solder pads and stencil openings.
PCB support and clamping are provided through standard magnetic thimbles, a lifting platform and equal-height blocks. Spring clamps accommodate PCB thicknesses ranging from 0.4 to 4 mm. The ND450 supports PCB sizes from 50 × 50 mm to 450 × 350 mm, with a maximum board weight of 4 kg.
The ND450 also features an automatic cleaning system with integrated dry, wet and vacuum modes for cleaning the stencil underside. The system offers adjustable demoulding speed from 0.1 to 30 mm/s and demoulding length from 0 to 10 mm.
A Linux-based operating system supports multiple transfer directions, with product changeover specified at less than five minutes. The ND450 has a specified cycle time of 12–18 seconds per board.
