ULT is introducing a new version of its ULT 200.1 extraction and filtration series featuring an enlarged filter surface area. The ULT 200.1 series has been enhanced with a new filter configuration that significantly increases the unit’s pollutant storage capacity and reduces maintenance costs.
Filter capacity is approximately eight times greater: the panel pre-filter offers a surface area of 4 m², compared to 0.5 m² in the standard version, while the activated carbon volume has increased from 1 kg to 8 kg.
This significantly extends filter service life and reduces the frequency of filter changes, all while maintaining the unit’s compact footprint. These improvements make the system particularly suitable for laser processes − such as plastics processing or engraving and cutting − that require uninterrupted operation despite high pollutant generation.
The filtration system comprises matched pre-filter and main filter elements that ensure high separation rates and low long-term operating costs. By utilizing a large ISO 16890-compliant panel pre-filter, 80% of particles smaller than 1 µm are captured at the initial stage, thereby decisively extending the service life of the H14 main filter. Downstream of the DIN EN 1822-compliant HEPA filter, an adsorption filter with a substantial activated carbon bed reliably removes gases and odors.
Users benefit from more than just a higher separation efficiency − resulting in exhaust air with a fine dust content of less than 0.005%. The modular design of the extraction units also offers great flexibility in adapting to changing process conditions. The 200.1 series can be equipped with up to four extraction elements, such as extraction arms or hoses (DN 50, 75, 80).
Integrated constant negative pressure control and selectable pressure ranges automatically adjust the unit’s extraction performance based on the number of extraction points in use. This allows the system’s extraction capacity to adapt flexibly to specific operating conditions. Furthermore, this technology can automatically compensate for pressure losses caused by loaded filters.
Additional value is provided by the extensive portfolio of genuine accessories designed specifically for the ULT 200.1 series. Users can purchase these directly from the manufacturer, tailoring them to their specific production and pollutant capture requirements.
