The SMTA announced several keynote presentations taking place during the SMTA International Conference & Exposition, October 25 – 29, 2026 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, USA.
The featured “AI in Manufacturing” Keynote Panel, co-presented by SMTA and The Assembly Show, will headline both events on Wednesday, October 28, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in room 13 on level 1 of the convention center. The panel is free and open to all attendees.

Opening the Additively Manufactured Electronics (AME) Track on the morning of Monday, October 26, Nick Morris, Deputy Director of Technology at NextFlex, will present “Hybrid Electronics: Accelerating Innovation and Adoption.” Morris will examine how hybrid electronics combines additive and conventional manufacturing processes and the steps needed to move the technology from demonstration to production-ready manufacturing.
On Tuesday morning, October 27, Jung H. Yoon, Ph.D., will present “AI Infrastructure Technology – Driving Forces, Challenges & Key Directions” as part of the Manufacturing for Excellence (MFX) Track. Yoon will explore how the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure is reshaping requirements for silicon, packaging and manufacturing, as well as the challenges and emerging directions for the electronics supply chain.
