Magnalytix, providing real-time reliability solutions for electronics manufacturing, is excited to introduce two additions their lineup of kit offerings of the revolutionary advancement in electronics reliability testing, Objective Evidence (OE) in a Box.
“We are proud to announce the continued growth in our Objective Evidence in a Box kit offerings,” said Magnalytix Subject Matter Expert Mike Bixenman, “Regardless of challenges faced by contract manufacturers or OEMs in effectively qualifying their assemblies, Magnalytix is proud to provide these new, convenient kits in addition to providing reliability insights with our industry-leading SIR Testing services.”
The OE in Box SMT Essentials Kit featuring the B-52 Legacy 2 Test Cards is the original kit offering introduced in early 2026 and includes the essential elements for generating an IPC J-STD-001 Objective Evidence report, including: 10 B-52 Legacy 2 Test Cards, B-52 Legacy 2 Components on tape and reel, a stencil offering from Metal Etch Services, and more. In addition to this revolutionary kit, Magnalytix is proud to announce the introduction of the OE in a Box Full Process Kit with Mixed Technology test cards and the OE in a Box High Density Kit featuring High Density test cards.
The OE in a Box Full Process Kit serves as an ideal starting point for a majority of contract manufacturers and OEMs adhering to IPC J-STD-001 electrochemical reliability requirements in includes: 10 Mixed Technology Test Cards, components taped and reeled for full assembly, Magnalytix SIR testing services on all boards, and a certificate of compliance to IPC J-STD-001 issued upon passing results. The Full Process Kit is an essential for CMs and OEMs needing full qualification of top and bottom side SMT assemblies, multiple soldering types, and conformal coating.
The OE in a Box High Density Kit provides a boost for manufacturers of complex, high-density assemblies like those implemented by aerospace, defense, and medical customers. The kit includes: 10 High Density test cards with Magnalytix SIR Testing services, taped and reeled components, and a dedicated stencil offering, plus certificate of compliance to IPC J-STD-001 issued upon passing results. The Magnalytix High Density test card replicates the component design, including the addition of small chip capacitors around each bottom-terminated component and complex geometries of highly dense assemblies to allow for electrochemical reliability qualification as close as possible to real-world applications.
