The Test Connection, Inc. has successfully renewed its ISO 9001:2015 certification for Test Development and Test Services, with an expanded scope that now includes its X-ray and computed tomography (CT) inspection capabilities.

Previously centered on electrical testing—including flying probe, in-circuit test (ICT), boundary scan, and functional test—the updated certification reflects how TTCI’s services have advanced. By formally incorporating X-ray and CT inspection into its certified quality system, TTCI is aligning its full range of analysis tools under the same standards and processes.

The ISO 9001:2015 standard, developed by the International Organization for Standardization, sets widely recognized requirements for quality management systems with an emphasis on consistency, process control, and continuous improvement. Recertification confirms that TTCI’s internal systems meet these requirements across both electrical testing and advanced inspection services.

For TTCI, the expanded scope is less about adding a new capability and more about recognizing how customers are already using its services. X-ray and CT inspection are often used alongside traditional test methods to better understand complex assemblies—particularly when electrical results alone don’t tell the full story.

By bringing these services under its ISO-certified framework, TTCI ensures that inspection processes—from setup and analysis to reporting—follow the same disciplined approach as its established electrical test methods. This provides customers with a more consistent experience and greater confidence in both test results and failure analysis.

With more than 45 years of experience in test engineering, TTCI continues to adapt its services to reflect the realities of modern electronics, where smaller features, denser designs, and tighter reliability requirements demand a broader set of tools.
